These small hollow vessels are a recent exploration into non-round turning using the “lost wood” technique. They are asymmetric forms, being oval in cross-section and with carved pointy tops. Some of them have four sided openings. To me, these evoke happy beings in hooded cloaks, perhaps monks or residents of a cold or rainy climate. Others have no openings and remind me of plant bulbs, signifying new growth. Click on individual images for more details.
